About this Blog
I am not sure how the blog is utilized within the Taylorcraft forum community but have been interested in keeping track of the restoration, enjoying my interaction with others that similar minded, and find specific assistance when items come up which are unfamiliar. Hope others find it useful as well. I found a Thread line of a fellow back in 2010 called "New to the Forum." A lot of initial information was passed around. Hank Jarrett suggested to one of the commentators that he start a thread line identifying his aircraft and himself and do the following: "AJ, 1) Start a thread called AJ's restoration. 2) Take a picture of a part and post it. (ANY part) 3) Wait for the identification, and probably pictures of where it goes and how it is attached 4) Fix up the part and put it on the plane 5) Repeat as necessary It REALLY IS as easy as that. Reply to N24323 Valentineby Mark BowdenYou can replace metal truss ribs with stamped if needed, I think I posted my Form 337 on this topic earlier, I can send you a copy if needed.
And you might consider getting a different set of wings that don't need "fixing" (or as much anyway nothings perfect), there is a set on...-

Reply to N24323 Valentineby ClarkAs suggested by Mark Bowden the major replacement parts wish list for needed parts is that of the wings. The one will require both front and rear spars and at least half of it's ribs repaired or replaced. This is a pre-war truss 13 rib wing, both wings are original if not to the aircraft at least correct...
