  • What's needed to go from metal to wood prop?

I've been toying with the idea of changing from metal to wood prop on my BC12D w/ A-65. Sensenich W72CK42. My list of needed items: Prop Bushings Crush plate Bolts, nuts, washers What am I missing? Does wood prop mount to same hub as metal? Recommended sources? And I know I need to find a mechanic that is familiar with installing wood props....

  • Bucket List and Prop Removal

Just cleared one more item from my bucket list, spent the last two weeks in OKC and passed the writtens and O&P's for the A&P certificate. Wow, was that ever intense.

    prop hub--how tight

There's no way to measure this with a torque wrench that I can figure out, but is there some guideline about how tight the prop hub should be? Obviously, it should be TIGHT! But using an X for a tool, if a 150 point weakling twists it, then.....?

    Propeller Woes

I called Sensenich yesterday to check up on my prop. Boy did they freak me out. I sent it exactly 1 month ago today. At first they were just going to do a refinish, next they said it needed a rebuild. Now.... Throughout this whole process I had to call them every time for updates on what was going on. So yesterday I decide to call them to make sure they are on schedule for delivery next...
