How many years or flight hours do bungee cords need to be replaced

Sorry to be vague with this answer however most replace them when the gear begins to splay outward. I suppose it you had a Taylorcraft that was without an engine and no weight OR had seen so little use that this was not occurring...5 years would be a RELATIVELY good number to not go beyond..Now let's hear from the other

Unfortunately I bought a set of bungees from Spruce about 2 tears ago and they are already showing signs of sagging, another thing after reading about the color stripes marking the year or month of manufacture I noticed they were not all the same, so Spruce just bunches what ever they have to sell you. I saw that post about the color stripes on the facebook taylorcraft site I would like to see it again if anyone chimes in.

After breaking one I change mine every 5 years. Safety cable saved me. Lucked out and got a set of bungee covers when Taylorcraft was in production 20 years ago. About the only thing I got from him other than the strut adAndrew Rozell
