I will have to call them up they did not forward the info just that it passed.
It comes from the IA that there is slight corrision and that they should be relpaced. :
Where is the supply A-A11 strut attach fittings?
Am I the only one who has been told that they should be replaced due to slight corrision by their IA?

Replaced ? or repaired. You are allowed 10% ; HOWEVER that is a real critical area. You are not the only one that found a problem , most were very neglected ships.
This is what the IA team is trying to determin now. Hope to get more input from them today. If there is info that would be helpful to them, please post; they do read this site. Thank you..

Hi Forrest,
I recall a 10% allowance too. But I can't find any justification of it in AC43.13-1b.
Did a PDF search on the entire document for "10", "90" and "percent".
Where did you find it? One of the AC65 handbooks??
It was in my brain from Manual 18, the Mechanics handbook and the newer 43.13 , I will look it up for the facts right after I have my Sauerkraut & Pork !!
I bought a 65 hp t-craft last fall, completely rebuilt last year. It was his 3rd rebuild and it looks great. The struts, according to the logs, were sent to a company that does xrays of these things and were found to be free of rust, etc. and solid. Should I worry or should I trust that this company did things right. (At 40 I would not worry, but at 70 I worry about alot of things! The rest of the airplane is really well done including the engine. Comments or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks! JC
