I'd be interested in how the yoke bumps the door handle? I've flown many Taylorcraft with yokes, and never had your problem.

Shinn brake return springs
A buddy & I had a set of four Shinn brake return springs made to suit our own needs, but it was the same cost (after tooling) to get several other sets made too. I offer these extra 8 sets of four springs to the group, with the understanding that they will be used and installed under FAR 21.303(b)(2)...

I hear and agree with Hank's comments.
During my rebuild I was fortunate enough to get some NOS magnesium aileron brackets from Harry (remember him?). I ensured that I provided a barrier between the magnesium and steel at the ends.
