I'd like to visit this museum later this month, but I'll be in my Taylorcraft and it might be rude of me to just drop in on Robins AFB unannounced.
I'm looking for suggestions from our Georgia fraternity as to the best place to land and get/borrow/loan/rent a vehicle so I can spend a day...

Prop overhaul interval
I assume that overhaul intervals for fixed-pitch metal props are as per the manufacturer's recommendation (perhaps by SB?), but is it mandated anywhere in the FARs to follow the manufacturer's recommendation?

I got one of those little metal covers from you Hank, many moons ago...not quite as good as the originals (sorry!) but it served my purpose.

I'd be interested in how the yoke bumps the door handle? I've flown many Taylorcraft with yokes, and never had your problem.

I looked for you, Laz. Your location at Osh has changed a wee bit. I did meet George briefly.
All is good here, thanks!

Laz, take the other one out and take it to your local machinist. It's made of steel. They'll whip you a spare in no time. Owner-produced part.

Shinn brake return springs
A buddy & I had a set of four Shinn brake return springs made to suit our own needs, but it was the same cost (after tooling) to get several other sets made too.
