Re: Glove box
Be real careful making your glove boxes guys. The first one I made the gear on the front of the control wheel shaft snagged the corner holding the wheel in the full down position!
Lucky it was the first instal and the fuselage wasn't even covered. I could see clearly what had happened. Since I had to make a new box anyway I did a little test. I pulled back hard on the controls and the "Hat Shelf board" box crushed out of the way really easy. The next one I made a little "corner" on it so it would have good clearance with the controls. I also have a clamp at the front to keep the box from "cocking" to the inside and catching if the box was to move. A simple rubber edged wire clamp around a tube worked great.
If the controls jammed in flight I don't know if I would want to have to crush a metal glove box for up elevator!

Be careful with even simple mods to the aircraft. The rules against modification are written in blood!
