Fuel shutoff valve connection to cable

Does anybody have any pics or info of how to connect the fuel shutoff cable to the valve on the bottom of the main tank?

Unfortunately this drawing isnt very clear. Just rebuilt our fuel valve and awaiting a new o ring to complete (MS29513 - 011 I think) fuel tank.JPG

Mine isn't a cable rather a rod with threaded end and clevis at valve.

Mine is a rod as well, thought I had a piccy but no. I'll try to get to the hangar today and take a snap unless someone else provides.

Here you go. It is a piece of 3/8 " x .035 tube with 10-32 nut welded on end. Knob has 10-32 threaded shaft. The forward end is flattened and a 3/16 hole drilled for clevis pin.

For what? no orings were used int he original installation...it was a leather packing..

Ours has quarter turn restrictor, spring, washer and "o" ring - Same main tank valve as every picture I have seen on this forum!

its a rod that attaches to a modified valve handle. etuscheon in the panel that it passes through. I have shut off rods if you need one.

This is for a 46 BC-12D. Thanks for the input so far. I like the threaded shaft but not sure how to attach it to the valve handle.

Drill a 3/16" hole and insert clevis pin. If you want you can braze the pin to handle.

That's likely why they leaked! The MS29513 (I can never remember the dash number) O ring however fits perfectly and is a good solution to the external leak issue. Internal leaks, a different story.

You can fix the internal leak by using fine valve grinding compound and lapping the cone to seat.
