Ok, some of you will be getting your bumpers, cost is $17 per bumper plus whatever the shipping was on your box. My return address is also on the box, so you can just drop a money order or check in the mail.

Here is how they are installed.
They are cut to fit, should be self explanatory it you need to support your airplane so the landing gear can swing freely. Remove the bungees and the gear should swing freely. Hold the gear away from old bumpers.

Now you need to trim the new handles to become bumpers. Then poke some holes and the attach them into the airframe.

Here are a few pictures of trimming and how they are positioned on the airplane.

You will find that if you glue the bumpers to the landing gear truss, per manual, before installing the screws, they will last longer. Been there-done that.

I have also in the past flattened the rounded end of the bumper to a flat (this more replicates the original thickness of material between the steel of the undercarriage & the fuselage, and has the added benefit of elimination "twist" of the undercarriage).

                    If that makes sense!

I find that they flatten out on their own in a year...

Sorry, actually Service Bulletin #6. Says to shellac it to the tube. I think I used some 3M cement last time.

Hey Tim, I am also interested in the yoke bumpers. Let me know how much and I'll send you a check. Thanks!

Anybody know where to get S.B. #6? I'll add it to the list of ones missing from the FAA list. ;-)

                                Hank,
PM me your address and I will mail you all the Bulletins I have so you can add them to the Forum. Sorry, I thought they were common knowledge. I have had them so long I don't remember where I got them. Maybe from Dorothy back in the '80s? I don't really have anyway to scan them in so I will copy and mail them.
