I have found a good C85 to replace my tired A65 with. The engine however does not include mags with it. I have a set of Bendix S4-20 mags that I really like on the A65 with about 250 hours since rebuild. My understanding is that these are right hand mags on the A65. Is it possible to convert them to work on the C85 and does it economically make sense? Or am I better off going a different route for the mags? I am obviously trying to keep cost down as much as I can but want to be smart about it as well. I am planning to get a shielded ignition as well while I am installing the C85 if it matters.

On Eisemann you would also need to pull the impulse pin and reinstall it in the other hole in the face of the mag, which is very easy. I believe also to go from a dash 8 acc. case to a dash twelve you would need the deep dish gears, as the 12 case is spaced is further away than what the dash 8 case is.This is in addition to what Rob said in post 10 above.
