I have a full set of steel aileron hinges for my 45 we can use to make copies if needed. Planning to make drawings as a couple of people have shown interest in making them (NOT the first time people have said they wanted to, but we REALLY need to address the Mag hinges before we have an accident and the FAA does it for us!)

I am in the middle of a big move and haven't been able to check in here much. I am cautiously optimistic and excited to see progress on this. Big thanks to those taking the time to make inroads with the vendors and manufacturers. I was talking with a coworker about making these and he mentioned the CNC bender as well however I didn't foresee the difficulty with coiled wire being so bad. Interesting.

I had a section of the current Martin wire at our EAA meeting the other night. We were discussing shrinking between the barbs. Someone mentioned that there is a place here in town that does wire bending, and that the guy sometimes takes on special projects. If the current lead doesn't pan out I will check with him.

Thank you to everyone working on this. I'm hoping one way or another we will
finally get a source for the wire clips.

I finally heard back from my friend with the spring company. Unfortunately, his machines can't make it. It's too long, even at chord width of 5'. He also tried one of his friends at another company and no joy there either. Sorry.
