A 72" Sensenich metal propeller is not legal for a BC12-D with a 65HP engine, unless you have some other type of approval. 72.5" is the minimum allowed by the TCDS.

When I did my first W&B on one of my planes I started with the last "legal" W&B s done. It was a few years prior and I got kind of suspicious because it showed my plane with the exact same weight and C of G as the day she was built. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! All of the past W&Bs said the same thing. I NEVER trust a W&B unless I do it now! Too many pencil whipped ones out there.

Why not? Our early 46 was as bone stock simple as it could get, had hs90x fabric, one wing tank, metal prop, and was high 700's. A friend that helped us build our first one also built one that was sub 800. By contrast, my 41 deluxe with extended baggage, 2 wing tanks, and O200 and heavy doors, trim, full electrics, etc, was around 925. The F21 was just a hair over 1000lbs, but it didn't care.
