    Re: BC12-D Overhaul

I would love to add some pics but I don't know how. I cannot see a tag to attach a pic. The only way is by using URL ???

    Any help would be appreciated.

The struts have gone back on. Just waiting the the jury struts and attaching parts to be painted. The main wheel bearings are totally shot. The out race is not exactly a tight fit in the rim. Trying to locate some new bearing. Timken 08125 and A6075.

    Regards

      Re: BC12-D Overhaul

      Really quite simple:

Click blue box with white letters "Reply to Thread"
Scroll down a little, lower right of screen click box with "Go Advanced"
Scroll down to 'Additional Options' section
About half way down this section, click the box that says "Manage Attachments" in bold text
A new window, smaller, should appear in the upper right of your screen
In the top section, 'Upload Files from your Computer', click the top box that says "Browse"
A File Explorer type window will appear. Find the picture file you want to post, select it, click open
The file location and name will appear in the box
Continue until you have selected the photos you want to post
      Click "Upload"
Add any text for the post in the text box
      Click "Submit Reply"

If problems uploading, i.e., files don't appear, they are probably too big. The lower section of the small screen lists some accepted file sizes
If this happens, you will need to use a picture editor to reduce the file size

      Note:
If you are using Internet Explore, the formatting of the posting screens seems OK. I normally use Firefox, and the 'Additional Options' section is scrambled
This is true for the 'Advanced Search' screen also

              Try "SimplyBearings.co.uk". Standard parts.

If you know the number, amazon has bearings too

                    Re: BC12-D Overhaul

Hopefully some pics will appear below. I will post some more recent ones later as the struts are now checked, painted and back on. Can someone show a pic of their pitot probe installation as the one on this aircraft looks a bit suspect. There is a small section of tube on the jury strut which does not seem to do anything. Also the RH access step is missing. So if anyone has a RH step for sale then I am in the market for one. New wheel bearings fitted all round. There were 2 venturis fitted but only one connected. So only the small lower one now exists.
                    Interesting brakes!!!!!!!

                      Re: BC12-D Overhaul

The welded section of tube looks to be what is left of the original pitot tube. The little bracket shown between you thumb and finger was added at a later date, and is not original.

Thanks. I will look around for some pics to see what the original installation looks like.

Exactly what all three of mine look like. Must have made them on a fixture, right down to the offset at the top to allow clearance for the wing attach bolt.
