Re: Is it blasphemy? - Grove landing gear

The bungies don't oscillate like springs do...that's why they still used bungies on a lot of airplanes and don't convert them. The Burls kit for a cub is around $4,000 Tim

Hello All, I am looking at going with AOSS over the custom units. Anyone have any feedback on the AOSS system? Good or bad. What is the weight savings? Thanks

Yeah, and there is several service bulletins that require them to be removed, piper had them on a lot of models and most converted to round wires because of vibration and breaking problems. If you want to go fast buy a mooney or a bonanza, most people on here either are too cheap or too poor to own those so they stick with a Taylorcraft. Me I am too poor to own anything else..

The rich guys don't know what they are missing, but it sure is fun to show them! Most won't give up their speed wagons, but some HAVE been known to get a second FLYING plane to go with their "transportation" plane.

I had streamlined tail brace wires on a Super Skybolt (300HP), S1-T Pitts and an Extra 230. A few thousand snap rolls without any problems.

              Tom,
I'm a little late joining this conversation but what's wrong with the L-2 gear? I like mine real fine.
