Attached is a picture of the alerion push-rod attachment hardware. I just drilled my holes and for grins attached the hardware. There is a gap of about 1/16" between the two pieces of hardware (as shown). Is a gap OK and if not, can I simply put an appropriately holed washer in the gap? - MikeH

If a 1/16" gap did appear, could I use an appropriately thick washer to close the gap? - MikeHMike Horowitz

And the correct thickness washer will make an excellent shim - MikeHMike Horowitz

Re: Gap?
I am certainly no expert here, but a close inspection of the picture showing the bracket shows the right side of the vertical bracket to be slightly deformed. Would removing the bracket and straightening the right side help close the gap?Richard Pearson
