Remember the FRONT slider is OUTSIDE and the rear is INSIDE! Fly through one light rain and you will see why! Also, if you use the angle at the front of the outside slider it really doesn't need to be too far into the cockpit. If it only comes in nearly flush with the inner "glass" you can still get hold of it to slide the window and it shouldn't be a hazard, plus if it goes top to bottom it will stiffen the front edge of the plexi. I like the angle better than the screen door handle and it is less likely to crack the plexi.

Good point Hank. I may just put a angle on the whole length (width) of the rear window at the middle point (perhaps not sticking out but maybe half inch or just enough to grab and slide. ) Am going to use early automotive tracks. I like Roberts idea of being able to hang the elbow out. The rear window works for that

Some of the BC12Ds had a vent each side, installed in the sides of the windshield. May have been just the ones with no left door. There's a 46 sales brochure with a photo showing the vents.

Get LOTS of practice putting vents in cheap Lowe's aviation plexi before even THINKING about cutting your windshield. The factory put them in the aft top corner of the windshields, but they cut holes in HUNDREDS of windshields. You have ONE SHOT! You wouldn't believe how many times i cracked a piece of plexi putting mine in. My only advantage is I have a 41 and they had 4 flat panels, not a single blown windshield. I bought a LOT of plexi before I got a good piece (must have been plexi defects, COULDN'T have been MY skill!) ;-)
