I’ve been looking for one for a while too. I’ve been trying to buy one but every supplier is back ordered. I’m in Woodstock. Thunder Bay is quite the drive lol.

I have the tooling to build the tool, Dave Rude used to and I received them from him. I also have a loaner tool for postage. if there is a need, I can get the materials to build a few and sell them. I will wait for feedback on this because it is a time consuming thing to be a new builder of these. Dave provided some tips on making them but I will have to make a couple to get the process correct. I have one in Virginia Beach VA (around Norfolk VA in the far SE corner of Virginia. What we need is to get some into each region so they are easy to get to instead of having to ship all over. Anyone who needs on in the mid-Atlantic area just yell. If you are close it comes with someone who has done it before as a free extra! Always fun to work on someone else's plane!

I just built one for myself and have the steel to build a couple more, if I ever find the extra time--need to get my plane up on legs and back in the air before that will happen.

By the way, I'm not looking to compete with anyone, if I do find the time to make one or two more that would be all.

You can simplify the fabrication dramatically by eliminating the two sliders (I was never sure they could retain a wayward bungee anyway). All that's needed is a smooth notch on each "toe" for the bungee to sit in while your cranking it up. It won't roll off even without the notch, but the notch creates a more positive seat. Once up against the cups a blunt pry bar helps the bungees into position.
