On the front of the airplane, right behind the propeller.

If you are looking for a new one Univair, used watch here or Barnstormers. If you have one that is in poor shape it might be able to be repaired.

Several years ago I took pictures of several nose bowls at Forrest's place. Good luck getting ahold of him, though. He will tell you he wants to sell parts but when I was there in 2011 at the fly-in he had no time for me.
        Cheers,
        Marty

Hello Mike from Nevada, and your first post, and welcome!

Please ignore the insults and slanders from the friendly curmudgeons who aught to know better . I say ignore in the politest sense, because they have the greater knowledge.

May I ask why you need a nosebowl: Is yours damaged? Missing?

I may have been in a grumpy mood and I do have a twisted sense of humor, but I don't think my comments were either insulting or slanderous.

Welcome to the "new guy". We often have "interesting" humor here and you can almost ALWAYS expect a smart answer to a post that can be interpreted more than one way. Same for humorous mis-spellings (I am an expert on those). You WILL find the jabs are all in good humor and must here will give you anything they can to get you back in the air.

As for nose bowls, several guys here are pretty good at metal bumping. It is amazing how much can be done with a bowl that looks like it fell off the truck in heavy traffic. If it is even close to usable and just dented and ugly it can probably be made to look brand new. Don't throw ANYTHING away! No matter HOW bad it looks. Someone will have one worse or will want it just to make a drawing for the talented to make a new part.

Hank, that is just the hoarder coming out in you! But I don't get rid of much either. Tim

To REALLY understand a hoarder, you have to be willing to save the piece of thread from when a button falls off of your shirt. THAT is a hoarder!!!! Anything less is just an amateur collector. ;-)

Personally, I am still striving for "Hoarder".

Of course they weren't Tom; you may have missed my little smiley in there! And of course my original comments were not even aimed at you

Yeah, they were aimed at me Tom. Some folks can't handle the truth, (I've heard that somewhere, before).

Despite the banter on here, Mike, all of us are friends I hope you stay with us!

Back to your original question: I had a hard time with my original nosebowl. I bought a used one, but it was not any better, so I had one made. Link to pictures:
                            http://www.taylorcraft.org.uk/Brey_r...s.htm#Nosebowl & Lower Cowl

I'm not suggesting you go down that route necessarily, but it's an option.

We are all a little crazy here Mike, that is why we enjoy each other. Getting to the nose bowl, I did some body putty/body work on mine and it came out pretty good. At least that is my opinion. Now I get to do it all over again in my rebuild.
