I've got one or two of Josh's brass placards. I cannot believe the tooling could not be located. I'm still amazed at that.

I have a feeling that the "tooling" was actually software. They may have been made on a CNC Engraving machine he had.

The brass placards are the early ones used before and just after WW-II. Josh made some and had a method worked out but we lost the tooling and manufacture method when we lost him.

I have his plane and it WILL be rebuilt. It may take a LOOOOOOONG time, but it will happen. Still looking for a 40 fuselage donor. His plane had a 46 fuselage and it is far from being salvageable. Even the aft lower longerons had gotten water in them and frozen. Hidden splits in the tubes you couldn't see prior to fabric removal. Our planes have an AMAZING reserve of strength. In the final ground loop the tail longerons did not fail, even with the splits.

I saved a full set of all the parts he made to put in when it is done. She will have as many parts that he touched as possible.

I think I did the pricing wrong may be closer to $1.50 each than $1 as originally stated.

They sent me a proof image and it looks just like the original except for the letter "I" so I mentioned that and expect they will adjust it. The "I" looks too big to me.

I went to the sign shop today to proof the placard. It looks great. I expect to pick them up at the end of the week.

I attached the proof .pdf that they sent me. I real life the "I" looks fine. - replaced .pdf with picture of the placards, see post #36

I think the best way to handle all this will be to ask each of you on the list to send me $1.50 for each label you want plus $.75 for 1 postage stamp/envelope and I will send you the placards in a standard envelope with a piece of stiff paper wrapped around them. Be sure to include where you want them sent to.

After I have fulfilled all on the list I may erase the address below so that I don't solicit $ for stuff I don't have.
