      Re: Tempest

Planning on arriving at OSH Monday or Tuesday. No Tcraft as CF-CLR is still a long way from the goal.
I'll be flying my Cessna C-GPGK, will be in the GAC area, and looking for fellow Taylorcrafters.

I plan to park my '46 BC12 in VAC. I hope to see as many TCrafters there as possible.

          Re: Tempest

Tim, I know your plan is to travel on Sunday, but I will throw this out for everybody.

Our EAA chapter is planning on having a cookout for those traveling to Oshkosh on Saturday the 18th. We have some Thorp T18 guys that are normally here on the Saturday before OSH, and I think the high school aviation academy kids from Lakeland FL are planning to make this a stop too. All are welcome to stop in even if you are not going to Oshkosh.

We will probably start cooking around 11. Weather permitting we will be doing stuff all day, and finish off with supper at the local Mexican restaurant.

I plan on arriving this weekend with my daughter. We will be in our PA22/20 Pacer. It hauls more crap! If you find it in VAC feel free to have a seat and relax for a few. Hoping to arrive Sunday and stay until Thursday

                        Tim,
I enjoyed meeting you at OSH. Your TCraft looks great with that Cont 85. I'm still trying to connect with Terry for his STC on the 75 hp setup. Until I get the paperwork my 41BC is grounded. After a long restoration I'm anxious to get this bird the air. Anyway I hope your trip to Oshkosh was good as mine.

It was great meeting many of you at Oshkosh this year! I was especially looking forward to seeing tim's airplane and he did not disappoint. Special thanks to Rob Lees and his group for hosting us one night. I made many new friends and we are looking forward to next year! Wow, what a fantastic experience! The best part about it was meeting all of the wonderful people.
Thanks to Rob especially and his squadron of "Oshkosh Irregulars" who put together a venue that allowed a lot of us TCraft pilots to socialize.

Special thanks to Tom Baker. On my way up there, I landed at his airport in Olney Illinois after hours. There was no one there, but Tom had arranged things so that I could put my TCraft in a hangar. And there was a courtesy car waiting for me as well. Very hospitable.
Then, later, when I arrived at OSH, I was able to meet Tom in person. I was honored to meet his dad, Tom Baker the elder, who has considerable TCraft experience, and his son Nick.

Some of the other fine people that I met there:
Joe Jessup and his dad met me as soon as I landed and helped me get my airplane tied down.
                                Dale Harris NC44100 (I think)
Norm Graham from Connecticut. You saw his post above.
Bill Miles and Tia Robertson are both from the South (Alabama and Atlanta respectively, I think). We talked about a fly-out to Dauphin Island for lunch sometime. See pic below

George Bassett N96404 South Bend Indiana
                                Keith Morford from South Dakota
Tim Mickel N96842 (almost the same N-number as mine)
Jeff Rogers from Milwaukee who is planning to put an -85 on his.
Tedd and Donna Wheeler who are looking for their first taildragger. Trying to decide between Cub, Champ and TCraft. See pic below.
I also met Laz at the repair barn. He had his hands full with two experimentals that had taxied into each other.
And Ken and Charlotte Andrews and their two grandsons Zachary and Trevor (?) who flew that gorgeous '41 from California. What a treat to meet y'all!
