I don't know that I have seen a new cable with a bent end like the original used for quite a long time. I think that McFarlane would make one like what we need if asked.

I feel like I am dealing with the riddler. What does it look like . How do I get one to be able to tell McFarlane what to copy or make??

Searching on here will help, I posted the cable to use, just swap the knob. I think it was a Cessna 180 cable.

Tim, Thank you. Yes researched posts and see you repeated using the c180 throttle cable. I will purchase one from their site.

Tim, was the c180 ength good ?. Also fitting at carb ok. ? Am hooking up to a stromberg. Also I just looked at a pic of that Cable at McFarlane the stiff non flexible part behind the mounting point looks too long to be able to clear in the back. With the price hitting almost 500 I need to be sure. I may just need to find one used off of a derelict T craft...that ain't a first choice as that is shall we say one of the more important control cables!!

It does have a little issue going over the kidney tank because they use a brass tube to stiffen the cable but I have been trouble free since 2002 ish. You just need a rod end that will fit your carb and fits on the cable. I think its 1/4x28 thread on the cable and a AN-3 bolt. Its been a long while since I messed with it.
