It took me a few years to find mine. Hold it, that IS mine! Lol. Keep an eye open on Ebay and hopefully someone here can help. Good luck!

The U.S.Gauge Oil Temp is really hard to find. Shoot, even photos are hard to find! If you do find one be really careful with the bulb tube on it. If you bend it too much it will crack and let the gas out. They can be repaired, but it is really expensive. I store the one for my 45 with the tube and bulb in a long piece of PVC tube to protect it. Kind of scared about the install into the plane when the time comes.
What we really need to to figure out how to make a replica from a more modern gauge that isn't so fragile..

I took the U.S Gauge out of the '46 when I put the C-90 in it, it goes from 32 to 212 degrees, and has the trade mark that looks like a swastika with the company name inside it, kind of cool looking, it has a flange with 3 holes for mounting

Re: Wanted to buy this oil temp gauge

I have a new oil pressure gauge like that which I purchased just for the case. All I need is to find new innards for the oil temp to fit in the case. It would be easier to find an original one if I could. If you hear of one available in any condition, I would like to get it for the dial face.

Re: Wanted to buy this oil temp gauge

If we can get a bad gauge to copy the face we can make a silk screen from it to make lots of faces. The case is also not really rare since several different gauges used the same case. The problem is finding a temp gauge with the needle shaft offset to the bottom like the U.S.Gauge. There are several electric gauges but there is really no way to power it in the non-electric planes (we aren't considering the legality of changing the instruments for this discussion).

If someone comes up with a broken gauge I can get new faces made (I would NOT consider messing up a working gauge just to get a face). Anyone seen a small bulb oil temp gauge with the shaft offset down from the center?
