Re: Looking for metal D window frames
My 41 Deluxe had wood doors and D window frames. You DO NOT want to have to rebuild a wood door! The guys who built them must have been fine furniture makers. They are things of pure beauty. My 45 Deluxe has the tube doors which seem lighter and MUCH easier to repair (or even build from stock/scratch). They aren't nearly as quiet and don't have the solid feel when you close them like the wood ones. Better in my opinion than the later sheet metal doors, but not as nice as the wood ones. The wood doors feel like a 1950s Buick door when you close them. Not heavy feeling at all, just really SOLID feeling and seal great. My 45 does have the stamped aluminum D window frames where the 41 was wood.

Re: Looking for metal D window frames
Are you talking about the frame that keeps the windows in place? If so, I have a pair that came off my 46 BC-12D. They are yours if you want to pay for shipping. I made new ones out of wood with a groove for the windows so I can open either one. Send me a pm if you want them.
