Tom is correct, the BL/BC 65 have a gross 1100lbs. It had an option for a six gal tank behing the pilot with a hand pump under the seat in order to transfer the fuel to the main tank, not something I am interested in doing . If some BL/BC models have wing tanks, someone must have applied for the paperwork to get it done I suppose, any assistance with sharing that info would be greatly appriciated.

I was less than accurate and in a hurry. It is of course a 41 BL12-65 Deluxe, not a Deluxe BL65. The extra tank is NOT the one behind the seat with the pump. It is a wing tank between the first two ribs in the RH wing. Haven't pulled it out but through the inspection holes it looks just like the post war tanks. Fill through the top front, water drain in the bottom rear and fuel to main from the middle towards the cockpit. Not sure what the material is.

          Back at it.
Sprayed some silver on the tail feathers, doors and landing gear this weekend.
Question for the group, not being an A&P and knowing I need to replace most of the hardware (nuts and bolts), what is the best way to find out what AN nuts and bold I need to orders, is there a Taylorcraft parts list available?

            Re: New 1940 BC65 Restoration.

I have a spreadsheet with every fastener that I took off of my '46 BC12-D. It may not apply to your '40 BC65.

I made it as a shopping list for myself. Not as an exhaustive reference for everybody. So it may be difficult for you to interpret.

But I'm happy to share it with you if you like. Send your email address to me by PM and I'll email my spreadsheet to you.
