  • Weight & Balance Form

Do any Weight & Balance forms exist for the T-Craft? I am down to the paperwork now and have no previous docs to start with.

I looked things over at taylorcraft.org and didn't find anything on W & B. Do you know of a specific area?

Hi, click on the technical resources, look for the ATC 696 form, 11 page document has weight and balance info.

Thanks for the help - doing the W & B and a couple of 337's is all that's left.

Just did a w&b on 95901. attached are the results. Numbers on plane in pic are my '41.
all pertinent data pulled from the TC. Empty weight just barely made it inside the envelope.

              attachment now
and yes, if the plane looks familiar to anyone, it was copied from Capt'n Jon's site. Best side view I could get.

We used to have an excel spread sheet running around, I have a copy of it somewhere, pm me your email adress and I will send it to you. You will have to weight and plug in your numbers but it will give you something to play with. I ran the calcs and i can put 200# in the baggage and still be in CG, over gross but the cg is in. Tim

I have a Taylorcraft CG spreadsheet on my site...just fill in the yellow boxes! (this is for standard 1200 lb BC12D).

Looks like you can just change cell J29 to 6.22 to convert it to US gallons.

Don't forget to change K29 to Gal from Imp Gal. We forgot to do something similar at NASA and missed a planet.

Actually, we were trying to just miss the planet and we hit it. Kind of made a mess.

Was that an Imperial planet or a US planet?

It was Mars. Not sure where their alliances were.
Little problem with some confusion over if metric or english units were used. Never want to assume. REAL glad I wasn't on the program (Mars Climate Orbiter).
