  • Old part question

A friend ran across this in a box of old parts. Any idea what it is?

It is a compensator for a bubble face compass.

That goes to the old original burble face compass. It is used to swing the compass for the correct heading when installed in the airplane. DO NOT THRO IT AWAY! As I remember, someone was looking for one of those awhile back on here or Facebook. Very rare find. If nobody wants it in the next couple of months I will make arrangements with you and purchase it myself and put it in my parts catch.

WOW! What a find! Pretty useless unless you have a bubble face compass but a ROYAL PAIN if you have the compass with it missing.
