1992 f22a taylorcraft

Would any body in the club know were you could have a set of nose grill s right and left made for this aircraft i tried Bill at Univair but they only have them for the BC12D models ,only and he refered me back to the club if you know could you please send me the address and phone number,my model 19 had them but
not this F22A Model thank you.

Yes i realize that, but if i could get in touch with that company, they might just
make a couple sets for myself ,and i,ll try to contact the other F-22 Owners,
they would be good ,going on trips ,and landing at other airports ,to keep the
birds out of the Engine Cylinders,and mud and straw ,that they deposit,the reason
i suspect they weren,t made for this model, they were trying to keep cost on the
production of these Aircraft down,MRs Dorthy Ferris put them in all the aircraft she
built,she was a very nice Lady ,i meet her when i rebuilt my first Model 19 Taylorcraft,
i have wished, over the years, of the 6 planes i have owned, that i had kept my 19 oh well
the nice thing about it, a man on the west coast bought it, and keeps in touch,and is really
looking after it, and keeping it like new ,thank you for your comment, you never know,
i did have the address, of the company that made the nose cowl grills,maybee one day,
i,ll find it ,and if i do i,ll call them ,have a great day sir.

This what i would like ,to add two the nose bowl, on my 1992 Taylorcraft, pictures attached ,do any of the members have any information ,which company made these nose grills for Taylocraft, and if any body is making then at presnt ,thank you

I think Univair has them for the "B" model. They likely got the tooling when they had the type certificate way back. I would think the tooling to make a set for a different size cowling would be cost prohibitive. It might be easier to change the opening in the fiberglass cowling to fit the grills, but that might not work for cooling. Also legal reasons would make that impractical.

Thee are several DIFFERENT shape and size openings. It isn't obvious until you try to put a grill in one. The wrong grill will NOT fit! Can you trace the opening? I have several grills in various states and may have two that will fit.

Hank, it is for a F22A. They have a different nose bowl, and didn't have grills.

Cubby: The F22 didn't have grilles, perhaps you've received & understood by now.

If you want a Taylorcraft with grilles, get a different model.
