Earlier this year I purchased N27517. I teach aviation at a high school in Kentucky so I plan to restore it in class as we reach the different systems. I am missing a few things that I am in need of patterns for, first the flat windscreen and second the floorboards. If anyone could help us out on that I would be much appreciated. I have started a facebook page taylorcraft N27517 which will house tons of photos.https://www.facebook.com/Taylorcraft...5166948082832/

I have both the floorboard and flat windshield patterns I can share. Contact me by IM and I can provide more information on problems you will face. Windshields and windscreens WERE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE!!! They were custom fit to each plane. There are also some simple mods to the floorboards that will keep MUCH more garbage out from underneath and make them easier to get in and out for annual.

Hank......How about sharing with the forum? Two threads could be started, in a different section of the forum, with titles that would show up in searches about floorboards or flat windscreens. Just a thought...

What header tank do you have? You may also want to install both wing tanks too, that way you would have enough range to do a long cross country for a private pilot certificate. I could also donate a fuel valve when you get to that point. TimN29787

Just be aware that the A-700 type certificate doesn't have the provision to add the wing tanks like the A-696 does. You will need some kind of approval to make the installation. To be honest having flown a very light BL-65 it would be a shame to ruin how it flies by adding wing tanks.
