  • Being poisoned

A man goes to see the Rabbi. "Rabbi, something terrible is happening and I have to talk to you about it."
    The Rabbi asked, "What's wrong?"
The man replied, "My wife is poisoning me."
The Rabbi, very surprised by this, asks, "How can that be?"
The man then pleads, "I'm telling you, I'm certain she's poisoning me, what should I do?"
The Rabbi then offers, "Tell you what. Let me talk to her, I'll see what I can find out and I'll let you know."
A week later the Rabbi calls the man and says, "I spoke to her on the phone for three hours. You want my advice?
The man said, "Yes" and the Rabbi replied, "Take the poison."
"I'm from the FAA and we're not happy, until your not happy."

      Re: Being poisoned

George Bernard Shaw was supposed to have said that. In addition he, (GBS), was at a very classy dinner party when he broke monsterous wind. The elderly woman sitting next to him exclaimed "My GOD!" He replied, "What were you expecting madam....Chimes?!" JC

        Re: Being poisoned

Actually, it was first stated in a conversation between Nancy Witcher Astor, (Viscountess Astor, first woman to sit as a Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) in the British House of Commons) and Winston Churchill.

“'Mr. Churchill, if you were my husband, I would poison your tea!"

"And if you were my wife madam, I would drink it!”

Churchill and Lady Astor didn't get along all that well. There were some GREAT quotes from their "discussions".

        Hank

Interestingly she was also born in Virginia and one of my favorite quotes was, "I refuse to admit that I am more than fifty-two, even if that does make my sons illegitimate."
