    Re: Thank you

I had been thinking a lot about friends over there, two others over there are going to be okay. thanks for the update. Patty & I were on the Motorcycle at Rehoboth many moons ago when another Hurricaine came up the Outer Banks and vered out just in time spare a lot of damage.

Moderators - please keep this site about airplanes or you will lose my support!!!
The first post is humor with a political twist, unlike your post which is a rant. I think it is good to have a section for this in case people don't want to see it they don't have to click on this section.

        Re: Thank you

LOL...wow, what a response...so the question is "why would somebody complain about rant and raves in the rant and raves section?" Right, well...it happens simply when you have way to much fresh ground bean coffee, get yelled at by your boss, listen to a bunch of highly compensated workers complain about politics whilst on the clock and then you try to retreat for a few minutes, log into the T-Craft website and do a search for 'New Posts'. The first thing that pops up is another political rant and you overeact without looking at what 'topic' it was under. I'm off the jo-juice and the boys are all busting butt again. I'd rather be in my T-craft though!!!!

          Re: Thank you

High tide has passed and the river is back to normal. The storm surge and the tides were out of phase so no more deep water. Debbie and I just went out to get something to eat and there were a few neighbors with a few shingles blown off and some houses with loose vinyl siding (I hate that stuff) but nothing serious. A few small limbs were in the yards and streets but nothing worse than a typical thunderstorm.
Earl dropped from a 4 to a 2 as it passed us so it looks like it was close enough to loose a lot of energy but far enough off shore to not do much damage.
Hopefully SFQ didn't get hit too bad. It's about 1/3 of the way from here to the Outer Banks where they got more damage. I'll check that tomorrow.

              Re: Thank you

I Agree! As jos. Stalin replied to FDR in the latter stages of the war when FDR told him, "We live in a DEMOCRACY where the people get to choose their leader!" (FDR and Churchill were trying to have him give up Poland)Stalin chuckled and replied " It isn't who votes, its WHO COUNTS THE VOTES." unquote. How true that was in 2000 when the Supreme Court intervened and Anton Scalia made the deciding vote for Bush. Most scholars say, for better or worse they had no business being involved ,and that
Florida should have been recounted in its entirety, that is....if we truly are a democracy. As for the storm, once again, Media Hype. In Maryland they never called for rain, at all, so one knew it couldn't be coming close to the bay at all! Sooner or later it WILL come up the Chesapeake bay and then those on land 1 foot above sea level (lots of them) will be bailed out by.......The Govmint! JC
