  • Message from Bush to Obummer

    For your morning chuckle...

    Secret Code....

After a President has been in office a year it is customary for the last President to send a note of congratulations to the new one.

So yesterday when the note came from Bush to Obama, the President was somewhat troubled because it was written in code and all it said was:

    370H-SSV-0773H

This troubled him as he had always heard from his peers how former president Bush was perceived to have been scholarly challenged.

So he took the note to his wife. She was unable to decipher it.

They called in the VP, and he was unable to decode the message. They called in the chief of staff and the head of Secret Service detail and they were unable to determine the meaning of the note.

Next he called in the head of the Senate and Speaker of the House.
They both were mystified by the meaning of the coded message.

Now there was complete panic in the Oval Office.

They called all of their contacts in the media and sent copies of the note to all of them, and not one was able to come up with an answer.

A special emergency meeting was called by the staff.

All branches of the military, counter intelligence, CIA, FBI were called in, and the best minds were unable crack the code.

After a sleepless night, a now humbled President Obama picked up the phone and called the former president, and asked him the meaning of the note.

George Bush chuckled and replied: 'Bud .... you're holding it upside down!'

I can't imagine little bush ever saying anything that smart. I do remember him giving the wealthy 1.2 trillion dollars in tax breaks, starting 2 wars, winning neither, and lying to the American public about his reasons for going into Iraq. (it was OIL!) Having osama ben laden cornered near tora bora, then letting him slip away! I remember him firing his finance man Larry Linsey because Larry said the Iraq war would cost over 200 billion. Most experts now agree the final price will be over 2 TRILLION! Wonder why we are in debt? Reality is a bitch isn't it?! JC

It was a JOKE Jim. You are going over the line. When you don't like the target of a joke, change the offensive parts and re-tell it so it's funny for you. Don't let it light your fuse. When we let a joke set us off we loose. Bush is out of office.

We are so unhappy with the quality of the representation we have in "Disneyland on the Potomac", sometimes we forget WE are responsible for putting them there, but not in that we voted for or against an individual (assuming you vote, if not you loose the right to complain).

WE are all responsible because WE have been telling our kids for a couple of generations now that lawyers, used care salesmen and politicians (ESPECIALLY politicians!) were lower on the honor scale than whore house hookers and crack pushers.

WE have been sending the worst of the worst to our state houses and the nations capital for far too long. WE need to bring HONOR back to leadership. WE need to tell our kids that LEADERSHIP is the highest honor and responsibility. WE need to send the very BEST of our youth Washington with the expectation that they will live up to those expectations. WE ALL caused this mess, only WE ALL can fix it.

Got a really smart kid, maybe your own kid? How would you feel if they said they wanted to be a politician? THAT is our problem. Washington D.C. eats honorable people up alive.

          My rant over.

"Obummer" is an insult to me. He is President of The United States, fairly elected in an overwhelming majority. I respect him as President. I did not respect the former president as he was elected by the Supreme Court by one vote which was anything but a majority. Having served in the Air Force I also know that you have to serve your entire enlistment. You signed a contract to that effect. Bush did not serve his entire term and it cost the taxpayers well over a million to train him as a pilot. He refused to show up for his last flight physical. Why? If I had left after three years, I would have been court martialed and served time. Why didn't he? I prefer a Democracy. The former president's 8 years was anything but that! If your looking for a hooker, dial up Glen Beck. JC

I don't respect anyone because they are the President. I respect people because they deserve to be respected. I don't agree with the recent Supreme Court ruling on Political contributions but I still take offense at the
Presidents Remarks about the Court in the setting he chose. Even when My Man loses I have always found something to hope for in the winners speeches. However it always ends up being words and not reality. Same for this guy so far, in my opinion.

Re: Message from Bush to Obummer

I respect the President of the United States. The office gets the respect and by association the holder of the office. Presidents get my respect because of the office they hold. Some of the men in the office earn my personal respect on top of the respect for the office, and some get it only because they are sitting at the desk.

I served my full time in the military. When I was commissioned I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemy's, foreign and domestic. That oath didn't expire when I was separated. I took it very seriously, and still do.

Unfortunately the current office holder demands respect from others, but does not extend it to others. He seems to think he is above the common rules of courtesy and respect the rest of us give to common strangers (this is not unique to Obama). This was clear for the whole country to see and hear when he insulted the Supreme Court members in his speech. Never in over 200 years has a president done that, and some of his supporters are willing to simply overlook it. It was LOW CLASS and uncalled for. He is supposed to set a GOOD EXAMPLE. He is the LEADER of this country. ALL of us.

Disrespectful comments about the current president, past presidents, and BY presidents are unacceptable in polite company. Jokes are one thing, but blind, continuous attacks against anyone and everyone who disagrees with a position and open disrespect for those you don't agree with is unacceptable in polite company.

The constant and vicious attacks against Bush need to STOP. Same for Obama. It isn't funny any more. Neither Bush or Obama won by overwhelming majorities. That rarely happens on presidential elections any more. Bush didn't win in the Supreme Court, he won the ELECTION. Every time the votes were counted, he won. GET OVER IT. We are trying to with Obama. He WON, fair and square.

I'm not a Republican or a Democrat. I thought ALL FOUR candidates were unqualified to lead this country in the last election. They were legally qualified to BE the president, but, in my opinion, not to lead us.

Jim, WE KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, GIVE IT A REST! I would like to go back to being friends. Lots of the guys on here have very different political beliefs from mine, but we manage to get along because we have a common bond and have learned it is better to avoid discussion on things we know are "hot buttons" for our friends. You share that common bond with us, but you are driving people away from you. Some are even people who actually agree with you!

If the jokes bother you that much, if you find them insulting, DON'T READ THEM. Not like you didn't know the subject from the subject line.

                  Hank (hopefully still your friend)

Jim, this is the humor section. This was put up as a joke. Jokes are mostly made about people that are presently in the news. Bush had his 8 years of jokes made about him, but he is no longer in the news. You most likely were not mad about those jokes, and maybe even made some yourself. It is now Obama's turn as well as the other people making headlines. Poeple in the news are the ones who get made fun of because it is relates to what is going on in the world today. Tom

Bush DID make fun of himself, of course he had a habit of mispronouncing some of the words.

SEE, that was supposed to be FUNNY, and I bet even Bush would have laughed. He knew he couldn't pronounce "Nukular".

I did not see the outrage when folks made fun of Bush. And he certainly made his share of gaffes and deserved some of the jokes.
I did not see the outrage when Obama spoke of the Marine CORPSE (sic).
Ir rings hollow to be outraged for the one and not the other.

Ya have to love political jokes and Americans have the freedom to make such jokes with impunity. (so far)
                              Best Regards,
