Re: Major head-chopping at EAA
Maybe if they eliminated the teenage boys doing nothing more than driving around in golf carts looking at the girls might save them some money.Cheers,

They aren't pilots. They are just the special kids of the special people who run the place who 'volunteer'. I've seen it at too many other functions and it is not limited to airshows. Trying to get one of them to help you or answer a question and you will see what I mean.Cheers,
Marty

Re: Major head-chopping at EAA
I opened it OK, noticed off to the side a line "accidents", clicked it and scrolled down, there was an RV-10 fatal, but it was the most blantant individual, I still can't believe all the things the guy did, one" had a four bladed prop on the plane, he took to of the blades off and flew it that way, signed off his 40 hous in a week, the only good part was he didn't have his wife and kids in it at the time of his demise, Tom

To scroll down:
Go up on the browser bar, and erase everything after the .com and just open the main website page.
This will allow you to read the newsletter normally.
It sounds like the EAA has been watching too many corporate videos. I don't know about you all, but I think people that are passionate about building planes and flying should be running and directing the organization, not some "consultants" or some corporate "whiz kids".
Maybe they were in trouble financially and thought this was the fix?John 3728T

You are still in jeopardy because you haven't retained their attorneys yet for that potential license revocation. You have been warned!Cheers,

Re: Major head-chopping at EAA
Its not and never will be the EAA of "the good old days" too much $$ found ts way..folks dont scratch build much anymore (although many should be with the economy the way it is) ah what the heck constant change. We can still pick up the pieces with our clip wing Taylorcrafts and the Taylorcraft Standard fleet. Long live the frugle flying days . Bernard Pietenpole did not need any EAA !!
