Da U.P. = "God's Country" I was at the Greenville airport and talked to a gentleman that was a cfi and on his lap top screen saver was a pic that looked just like your Taylorcraft. For the life of me I can not remember the name....thought maybe it was you.

He probably found a picture of my plane on-line...a T-Craft is soo pretty he couldn't resist.
Oh ya...here is Sam Lyons new painting of my BC12D-85 N44008...I won a photo Contest from seaplane pilot's association and this was my prize.
Are you absolutely sure that's 2011? (just asking).
Anyway, it's not a competition, there's no prize, and to be honest, I prefer the fireworks (no disrespect to Lyons)
The Painting was done in May/April of 2011 and unveiled at Sun N Fun just before the Tornado....so the picture of Sam Painting it IS from this year....however...the photo that it's based on is from 2006 or something like that. A technicality I suppose eh Robert? Good Eye my Boy...Good Eye.

Wait a minute Dano....painting was done in May/April of 2011 and unveiled at Sun & Fun????? Wasn't Sun & Fun in March or April? LOL....still it's a great painting and since it was unveiled at sun & fun then that counts in my book, lol. Merry Christmas
Dano always has some unbeatable pics....however I really like the one Andrew posted in teh wheat field too...something about it kinda takes me back in time. Reminds me of the stories my dad & grandpaw used to tell about landing wherever it was flat & long enough. Thier all great pics though. I don't have any taylorcraft pics this year,I haven't even flown a t-craft this year but hoping to get back to work on Crispy soon. Trying to help dad finish the restoration on his ragwing 170(the bird I learned to fly in). We plan to do the first runs on the engine next week, probably tuesday or wed. As soon as we have it back in the air then we both plan to devote all of our full spare time attention to Crispy. Here is a pic of Crispy after it's demise in May 1971, I know it's not a current pic from this year and I will remove it if you think it needs to be,but I just wanted to share one and it is very unique and unlike anyone else you'll ever see.....or at least I hope no one else every has to see one like this. This will also show some of the newer members why I call her Crispy Critter since I still can't seem to upload a new photo gallery after my old one disappeared. Merry Christmas everyone

Haha I meant March!!!....It ended April 3rd right?. He finished it days before SNF....attention to detail is lacking here!...well here is one from February 2011.
Hey Dano, really like the hat, (I mean it, no kidding). I was wondering what kind of duct tape that was and realized it was camo. Do you run the two strips across the grills to partially block the intakes for the carb and cabin heat to make it warmer? (Sorry to hijack this for a minute, Rob).

A friend stuck those on one day...all it did was peel some paint from the cowl when it was removed
