I had a need some years back. Ran an ad in trade a plane. Lots of landings gears seemed to be available. Bought a set for $300.00 and a promise to be fair to anyone I sold taylorcraft parts to.
I was joking, but after working on both kinds of gear I would love to see the mods needed to fit a Cub gear to a Taylorcraft. Seems like you would need to change pretty much everything welded to the lower longerons!

I know that Alsworths modified 3 aircraft, put 180 Lyc and cub cowls, super cub style gear, adjustable seats, removed the bar from behind the seat. I think that most of his mods were used as basis for the F-21/22 series aircraft. Tim
I hope they did some analysis before they cut the tube from behind the seat. That is a pretty important piece of structure in the pre-war fuselage! I don't know what changes were made to the F-21/22 fuselage to shed the loads around that area.
