    Re: fuel gauge

If you have a main tank with a gauge you really don't need (or want, because of the complexity) a gauge on the wing tank. You know it has 6 gal (if you filled it) and you drain it into the main when the front tank is at least half empty.

The L2 has sight gauge in the wing tanks. They may fit your airplane since they occupy the same space in the wing bay.

Only if he doesnt want to use the doors, dont they stick down below the wing where the door opens? Tim

No, they are visible in the wing root. Nothing hangs down below the tank. The problem with them is that you can only read the coffee urn type gauges in level flight as they are located in the forward part of the tank. The only way to tell how much gas you have in an L2 before flight is to have the tank nearly full or pick up the tail.
