I plan to put it on ebay at that time unless you'd like to buy it.
How much do you want for it , who is doing the welding and will it be properly tested
for leaks? I'm a bit skiddish about buying a used tank unless it is professionally tested
as the last one turned out to be a disaster in time and money, time being the more
important variable for me at this point.

Forrest, I am willing to pay to have it digitally copied, then just email it if that option is available. Thanks Tim

Re: Nose tank and ventral fin required

I guess there is a real problem in the tribe. We pretty much trust each other and tend to ship off parts to help a buddy get airborne with the assumption they will come back or be replaced. It is actually a GREAT problem for a group like ours because I really don't think anyone would intentionally "take" any of these parts. I know I have sent stuff to others (gifts with no return needed or wanted and stuff that was loaned) and then forgotten who it was sent to (only one that ever hurt was a bulb oil temp). I also know I have stuff that probably belongs to others but haven't a clue who they are any more.

If I have ANYTHING that I haven't returned and you need it, please let me know (probably take me a while to find it, but I will get it back). If any of us have things like the ventral fin or other rare parts let's figure a way to get them to someone who can document them for reproduction (tooling or drawings). We really need to make sure the "last of it's kind" parts are documented for the future.

Dreaming ahead, wouldn't it be great to be able to trust the factory enough to have them be the repository for the old parts and drawings.
Let's use Forrest for now. I REALLY want a good factory of more friends to this group. We are cheering for you guys in Texas. Please don't disappoint us.

If possible I would like to get a outline of that ventural fin or purchase one if anybody else has one for sale. On a side does anyone have a pic of the aft strut attaching piont that goes thru the cluster?

                  Forrest,

I would like an electronic copy of that ventral fin drawing as well. I will gladly split the copy costs with Tim.

Re: Nose tank and ventral fin required

I did not mean to cause a stir buy selling the ventral fin to one of the members.

But, in the spirt of the forum, I have made a drawing that I will send to Forrest for the Foundation records.

WE got the drawings , there are two fins, early and later, they both are poor quality but a light board can fix that! I will look them over real well on Sunday when I get back. There is one drawing to find yet of the forward attachement.

him ship it to you to do what it is you have to do and then forward to me later .

I have already emailed Ray and told him that I wish to do this . As soon as
he acknowledges this I will have him ship it to you . Could you confirm the
foundation mailing address for me and the method of payment so I can contribute financially. I am ashamed to say that I have never paid into the
foundation only because of tardieness not because I didn't intend to. I will
put $100 in there which should cover me for the last number of years.
