    Airworthiness certificate

I had an instructor use my Taylorcraft BC-12D last week and in checking the aircraft out he noticed that the airplane did not have an Airworthy Certificate. What I have is an original form (forgot the number) from the CAA dated August 1946 with Operation Limitation as a header.
Remember ARROW, well I have a Registration from the FAA, No Radio, Operation or Operating limitation I the Univar’s reprint owners manual and Weight and balance I made an excel program and printed it with data I obtained from previous 337’s etc.
My question is where do I obtain an Airworthy Certificate for my 1946 BC-12D ?

Call your local FSDO and ask for a replacement. Tom

Have your Mechanic do it, I might keep the FSDO from wanting to do a conformity inspection. Tim

You can as the owner request a replacement for a lost certificate. However, if it never had a permanent, you will have to have a conformity inspection.

Order the FAA CD on your AC, only $10.00, Your AW certificate will
be on the Airworthiness File. Per the file mine was replaced or whatever
          in 1966.

all of the above is good. Check with your IA , it should have been there at the last annual. perhaps it has been misplaced or lost since then. I would have him call for the replacement, if he has a good working relationship with the FSDO it may be issued without the conformancy inspection.
Make sure the ser#'s match on the data plate & the fuselage. IF not e-mail me direct. The CD is the best advise, get it first and see what is in Oak City.

              Question?
I have one it's dated 1957 and is getting hard to read, would like to replace it.
Can I call the fsdo and get one, do I need to send this one to them or what??

                  Re: Airworthiness Certificate

Well it all worked out great. I called the FSDO in Orlando and they were very nice and understanding that I had lost it. Lost is the key word here. I fax them a letter requesting a replacement. Side note the FAA guy advised looking at the records the last ione ssued to NC95334 was in 1956. He advised they use to issue them once a year back in the 50's.

                    Re: Airworthiness Certificate

Once a year till 1956 when the FAA issued the "permanent" Airworthiness Certificate. We switched from DAMI to AI at that time too!

The local FSDO's seem to have different methods of replacement. I usually call up and get one sent for a "lost" one.
