Had to share this little gem...

Doc had a mold made for the center of a pretzel yoke. Here are photos of an original yoke emblem and some pics after making a new one from graphite.

The screw bosses did not come out in the mold process, but a little JB-weld epoxy and a drill and tap would fix that issue. The Taylorcraft logo is on a metal disk on the original, but it will probably have to be a decal on a disk on the copy unless we want to go totally bonkers and make a silk screen.

I have the negative for the silkscreen. Once the blanks are made (not hard to do by hand with an aluminum blank, a hardwood block and dowel punch) the silkscreen is pretty easy to do.

        Cool Hank,
maybe I can trade a couple new yoke centers for a couple new metal disks?

          Re: No Broke Yoke

Sounds good to me. We have started this process several times but it never seemed to get done (yoke centers aren't critical, just cosmetic, so they always fall of the "important" list).
My 41 is actually progressing now and I am focused on everything BUT the struts. I'm going to wait till that sorts itself out to inspect mine and hope some sanity enters the picture. Anyway, the 45 is the next T on the list and I will need a set of yoke centers. I just hope I won't need a set of struts too.
I will see about making a die and punching some coins to silk screen. The negative is in one of the boxes and I will set it aside.

There will probably be a list starting again soon who want centers and coins. I would suggest the guys who were on the first list go to the front of this one if they still want them.

            I'll want both, Hank.
