That access hole pretty much allowed the oil to flow everywhere (including all over the floor!)
If you wish, I think it's acceptable to drill a #40 hole and oil through that. Fill with a PK screw when done.
Particularly you need to make sure the lower longerons are oiled...they're the most succeptible to corrosion.

On my fuselage, the rudder post, (the vertical tube that the vertical fin plugs into, at the very back of the fuselage) is open to the longerons. Just pour "Corrosion X" down this tube until it comes out both small vent holes behind the brackets where the rudder pedels attach. Let it soak over night and then roll the fuselage on it's side, slightly nose high, and drain out the excess oil. I would recomend doing this before painting...if you have corrosion that has gone through from the inside it will show up as an oily spot. Line oil is ok for new tubing, but it offers no corrosin controling qualities needed in old tubing that may have some corrosion already started. IMHO

Because if you spill a drop of Tubeseal, by morning it will be all over everything....it crawls like nothing else in the world!! I've used plenty of linseed oil and while it's a good preservative, it doesn't crawl like the tubeseal does, so there's a chance of things not getting coated as well as with the tubeseal.

Spruce sells a sealing pop rivet for this.
