  • L-2 Stc Help

    Hello,
Please - does anyone have the contact information for John Collier? Desperately looking!

I am working on a multiple STC to install the either an A75, C75, C85, C90, or O-200 in the L-2 series airplanes. We have our data package with the FAA LA-ACO office at this time. Many of you have assisted with providing 337s. The project started last summer. You wouldn't believe the mountain of paperwork that we have prepared. Times have sure changed... but I think we are about to get the FAA on board. We have remained quiet on this not knowing if we might ever get this far with the FAA.

Anyway... if we can get a letter of authorization from Mr. John Collier to allow use of his test data for his 1-time STC O-200 installation, we are home free.

If we can accomplish this, I plan to make this STC available to L-2 owners at a nominal cost just to recoup my expenses.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards.... T. Bowden

I have a copy of the Washington VoTech school that did the one time STC for an O-200 and 12.5 gallon wingtanks. Give me an hour or two and I will post it. They sent it to me and said it was a one-time STC, they can't sell it so do what you want with it.

Could I get a copy of the data? I sure would like to get the data to put on an O-200 on my BC12-65/L2H. Thanks Tim

                Re: L-2 Stc Help

Ron, thanks for the documentation on the 0-200 and 12 gal. tank installation. As I progress into this rebuild it will give me an idea of how to incorporate the fuel tanks into the wings. I currently have the following tankage in N70B. One 2 gal. nose tank, two 6 gal. wing tanks, two 2.5 gal. tanks outboard of the sixes, and a 2 gal. nose tank mounted above and behind the baggage compartment. This still gives me only 21 gal./19.5 usable. So the two 12's will help in simplifying this system and still only have 2 gal. in my lap.
