Location and wording of placards

OK, I have the ACA-309 "Operations Limitations" card mounted in view of the pilot. I have the airworthiness certificate, registration, and a current weight & balance form with equipment list in the airplane. I have redlines painted on the tachometer, airspeed indicator, oil temp gauge, and oil pressure gauge. I have a compass correction card.

Questions about the rest of the placards and plates:

Does anyone have a photo of the part number D-766 placard "Do not exceed 140 mph", a brass? label in the wings shape of the Taylorcraft logo, that was mounted on the panel under the left control wheel hole?

Does anyone know what the part number B-7030 placard, under the right control wheel hole, said? Can't make it out on the drawings I have.

Was the aircraft data plate mounted vertically on the plywood under the passenger's right knee?

Where was the baggage compartment placard mounted? I have what looks like an original aluminum plate, about one by two inches, that says "BAGGAGE NOT TO EXCEED 50 LBS".

Where do I find the required wording, if there is any, for a placard on the wing tank fuel transfer valve in the right wing root? Something along the lines of ON, OFF, and "refill main tank in level flight only"? What did the factory original placard look like?

My trim crank does not have the position indicator tab and wire. Is a placard required, and what should it say? Something along the lines of "verify trim neutral before takeoff"? What does the placard look like?

The do not exceed placard goes under the airspeed indicator.

The placards that go directly under the control wheel are control wheel disconnect placards. I don't have one in front of me to tell you exact verbage but I can later today

prewar placards i have found many mounted on the pulley cover by your feet, also on the floor. Post war mainly on the floor. I would have to find an original floor to tell you exactly where

Baggage placard goes on the vertical face where the baggage and headliner meet

fuel tank placard and on/off are two seperate placards. I mouted my valves under the dash and put the placards thereabove the valves

Only the late BC-12D's I have found with the position indicator and nothing on it but a neutral mark and up/down

Do you have an example of the elevator trim crank placard?

And if the aircraft data plate was mounted on the floorboard, did the lettering face aft, or face toward to the starboard door opening?

Yes Joel we have all this here. I have an original of all placards. The original data plates were in different spots on the ships. direct e-mail is the way as you now know.

This is a picture that I have of one.There were several different plates made depending on the year of the plane and where it was built. The plates are available and I believe Forrest has them. If your friend is needing a replacement plate he must contact the FAA for a letter of authorization before he can have a new one made or buy one and have the information stamped on it.

The data plate on my '40, BC-65 was located flat on the hat shelf behind the
pilot. This is where it was when dad bought it in 1943.

When I bought my ship, the data plate was mounted on a wooden lid over the baggage compartment, along with the baggage weight limit placard. I moved it to a vertical position on the cable cover under the passenger's right knee.

Also attached is a photo I took at Oshkosh of the data plate in Tyler Foster's very original (if scruffy) '46 BC12-D. Sharp kid, an 18-year-old from Sanger, Texas who flew up to Oshkosh with some 17-year-old pilot friends in their planes.

My 41's placard was located on the right side by the passengers right knee. I do not remember exactly where but can investigate if you like. I still have all the panels and should be able to get a closer location. I found it among coon poop and other debris as I was cleaning things up for restoration. Larry
