  • Osh 2024

I'm hoping to fly in on Friday 19 July, wx permitting. Last time I flew in was in 2008, so I'm well overdue for another flight there.
5011M from Dacy 0C0 (via Brodhead C37). I'll be staying all week until Sun 28th, although I might take the aircraft home mid-week & return by road.
    Any others flying in?

Mom, dad, and myself will be there for the week. The boys I think are going to try and make it for a day towards the weekend, they have never missed one since they have been alive. I'm not sure about the airplane yet. I need to find a driver for mom and dad, or a pilot for the airplane.

We hope to be there the beginning of the week (my wife and I), it would be nice if someone manned the Taylorcraft booth in the Vintage Barn.

I doubt it, unless VAA have one. The problem in past years is that unless the table is used/occupied/attended, the VAA have no vested interest in maintaining a Taylorcraft presence...why would they?

Walter: If you'll do a day (or a 1/2 day), I'll do the same. We'll find a table somehow. We might need a flag, or something.

              Any other volunteers?

I’ll be camping there from the evening of Thu the 18th through Sun the 28th, even though I live in Appleton and am hangared at KOSH.

I just started repairing mine and am new to the Taylorcraft world, so would love to meet and chat with you guys!

Haven't heard anything whether Taylorcraft had a table and representative's in the Vintage hangar this year. Anybody know?

Thanks for the reply. I was afraid of that. I saw the Newell Taylorcrafts tied down there on the ultralight camera when it would swing out by the east view. I live five mile south east of Findlay, Ohio on a farm strip, I believe I saw the two Newell Taylorcrafts leave Findlay airport when they were on their way home from OSH. Last year I saw them also on their way home. Good to see!

There was no table or flag or presence; I looked. That's probably our collective fault, because the VAA (I'm sure) require a certain commitment prior to allocating space in the Vintage Hangar. Susan Dusenbury would know more.
2024 showed a big influx of Aeroncas (well done to them) but I don't think we could match their or the Cub presence.
