What does the L mean on page 115 on the above manual?; Table of limits (I have the 2011 edition) It says what the * and ** and crucifix mean, but not the "L".
My X-30010 manual does not go to page 115, but "L" means a loose fit, and "T" means a tight fit. For example the piston ring in the groove has a new clearance "L" loose of .005" to .0065". It needs that much space to move freely. Second example is the bushing in the rocker arm, it is .002" to .004" tight, meaning the bushing is larger than the hole it is being pressed in, or a "T" tight fit.
Check page 75 under 13-8 Dimensional Inspection. Beyond that I'd need to know more about what it is you're trying to figure out.
I don't know where or if there is a specific reference/definition for L or T.
However all the Ls are associated with parts that are "loose" when assembled, and all the Ts are associated with parts that are "tight" . I've never paid any particular attention to anything other than the actual demensions.
