  • Looking for my grandfathers plane

Hello everyone. Hoping you can help. Does anyone know Charles or thomas withrow out of west Virginia? Charles is listed as the owner of my grandfathers old f21(I think maybe passed away?) But also had a few other taylorcrafts with ownership passing between the 2. Before I cold call( i know some dont respond well to that) I figured I would reach out to see if anyone knew them?
    thanks!

Any idea what the N Number was? That would go a long way towards finding the plane.

N2004b. I'm pretty sure the plane is there. I guess I was hoping someone knew the owner. Looks like he had a few bc 12s and a pre war t craft as well. I figured I might have better luck making contact this way vs cold calling them

Very sensible, Cmyhal. I see you've been a member here since Feb 2021; were you interested in finding info back then?

I wish you well in your quest.

Thank you. I have been interested in finding it. But life has a ways of getting in the way!

We quite often use real names here; it's a small Taylorcraft community. Don't worry if you'd rather not. You'll still continue to get a warm welcome. We all know about life and its intrusions. We just care that you fly safe.

Looks like his plane was removed from the registry on 1/3/2018 which wasn't that long ago so the plane may still exist. It says she was a 1980 F-21 serial number F-1001. Last owner was in Lewisburg West Virginia. Anyone know Charles Withrow? Anyone live close to Lewisburg WV who could see if they can find him?

You might try calling the Lewisburg WV airport and asking them.

I would send a letter via snail mail to the address listed in the FAA database. Rather than calling. You may get a better response.
                  Thanx,
