Search has resulted in no information. I want to keep my primer in long term storage for a while. How does a person go about it or find information. Gasoline seems like a bad idea for keeping rings and plunger and cylinder walls clean long term. Suggestions?

Probably the BEST place for information of ALL kind on your engine is at http://oldweb.candlish.net/taylorcraft/engines.html . Be forewarned, once you start reading you will find a LOT of information you didn't even know you needed. The other place every small Continental owner who wants to actually KNOW what their engine is about (as opposed to those who just tell their local A&P/IA to keep it running right) is the factory manuals, which are available on line. I have them saved on my computer for reference. You will want the A-65 Manual, the A-65 Maintenance and Overhaul manual, the operators handbook and the manuals for your mags and Carb. If you are a true Taylorcraft nerd you will find them fascinating. If you have loads of money and no interest in anything past where your hands and feet touch, make sure you have a REALLY GOOD mechanic who KNOWS our plane and engines! The typical Cessna mechanic (or worst a jet mechanic) will cost you a fortune and leave you with a pile of trouble.It is a simple engine and airframe. It is WORTH being the one your mechanic comes to for information. A really GOOD mechanic will see you as a resource.

Dismantle, clean and reassemble with True Turn fuel system lubricant. This way it will be ready to go when you are.

Thank you all for your inputs. Sorry, I neglected to specify which primer and engine. It is a Kohler Primer being used on a Lycoming 65 with a Stromberg NA-S2. Scott, I can find a True "Brand,' products and cleaners. But Nothing specifying 'True Turn,' is it a shop specialized product?Clark Freese
