  • Ercoupe cups with slick ignition harness

Has anyone tried this combination? I’ve seen pics of the cups installed with bendix. Don’t know yet if the cups work with slick ignition ends. Not sure how the cups install. I’m guessing threaded on spark plug?

The cups basically replace the spark plug gasket, and are held in place when the spark plug is threaded in the cylinder. The leads install from the side and the spring pushes against the side of the spark plug where the connection was made with the old un-shielded leads.

Tons of info and pics that I, and others, have posted on here. Just search for them. Good luck!

There should be a picture of a drawing I found years ago of a home made cup. They made some of them from Contidina Tomato Paste cans! And from what I was told, they worked fine..........just probably be a good idea to take them off for your annual if your IA isn't into home made parts. ;-)
