        Thanx guys, that is a great help. I probably painted over those holes without even seeing them. I did redrill the two drain holes in each gear..

          I just installed springs on a 46 T-Craft that I bought. There was no evidence of holes ever having been drilled for the springs.

            Mine is a '40, and yes, I painted over the holes. After finding them and redrilling, the springs fit perfectly. Thanks all.
