    Re: Oil in Cabin

3M fire putty is what I use to fill holes and back-up grommets. The attached link is just for example but happens to be the same type of tube I bought. Shop around. https://www.zoro.com/3m-fire-barrier...RoCBaMQAvD_BwE

      Re: Oil in Cabin

Just ordered some 3m Fire putty. Any suggestions on what to replace the old sound dampener with once I get the leak sorted out and everything cleaned up? Or is it necessary/worthwhile in the first place?

How about something from here? http://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/ap/soundproof.html

Stick-on or glue-on material dampens the resonant drumming...science would say it changes the vibration frequency or something similar probably. I've used the black foam stuff to help reduce sound and add insulation to the cockpit. Make sure it's compatible with aircraft and any potential fire requirements.
