Re: Mageto's for c85-12
Hello Jeff, and welcome!
Eisemann coils are available from Fresno Air Parts in California. It's almost worth ignoring their website; look at page 3 in Trade-a-Plane or give them a call on 559-237-4863 or email them on [email protected] Their service is very good.
The Coil part number is H27-958. It might be worth replacing the condenser as well (P/No H24-924)
If you do replace the Eisemann magnetos, don't cash them in for the Slick exchange...I'll buy them off you for the same value, plus shipping.
Regards,
Rob

Re: Mageto's for c85-12
I will repeat what Robert said. DO NOT use the mag for trade in!!!! They are GREAT mags and the parts ARE out there, it just sometimes takes time to find them. I don't know if Robert knows them but there was a company in England who would rewind the coils. I am pretty sure they specialized in antique cars but some people here in the states got their coils redone and he work was first class. Problem is, I have NO idea where the company was and how to contact them. Pretty sure it was some guys I used to know who restored old British sports cars (Triumph and MGs)and it was a while ago. The shielded and unshielded mags used teh same coil and points, so widen your search and please....KEEP US OTHER EISEMANN FANS UPDATED!!
