  • O-200 short mount

Now that Terry has the O-200 add on for the B series, has anyone done it yet? C85's have gotten scarce!

I guess I'm most concerned about clearances. I put new mounts on my A series a couple years ago do to a droopy engine, and now where it passes through the nose bowl, it just about touches. The adapters shift the motor ahead which is a good thing at the back, but what about up front? I won't be running a starter or generator.

I'll have airforms build a set of baffles.

I want to have all this worked out before I dive in.

I have the c-85-12 on the short mount,Yup its tight!I also have a set of Ryan SS exhaust on it (Very rare)and the mufflers are close to the nose bowl,Slick Mags are a must,I had a set of 1939 eisemans on it until recently but you can only fix them so many times!~B&C Makes a Starter that will fit and I might do that

You can do the full 100hp, it's more money on the STC and more paperwork on Terry's end.

About all I know is from here:

I spoke with Terry very briefly about it and I know I can reuse my Luscombe exhaust since I used his paperwork when I installed it.

                  Re: O-200 short mount

Would 0200 have a longer prop than a C85 with the 0200 stroker kit? or is it the other way around?

                    Re: O-200 short mount

The O-200 is legal for a 74-43 prop per the F-19 STC, the 85 is not. The engine mounts move the engine forward by 5/8" you need to modify the front left baffling to clear the cowling on some aircraft. Its also wider than a 65 so exhaust needs to be changed. Tim
