Does anyone have a drawing or photos of the parking brake installation at the firewall/brake pedals?

Look at the pictures in this thread, Greg. Hope it helps. Also, Rob Lees' UK Taylorcraft rebuild page is really helpful, some of the pictures are his.

    Cheers,
    Marty

      Re: Parking Brake

It looks like you may be missing the little nub that the end of the parking brake cable goes in. On the small tube that goes forward from the brake pedals there should be a 1/2-3/4" long small diameter tube welded parallel to the side of it to hold the cable end. Every place else the cable os just tied to the airframe with lacing.

        Thanks Marty!

These help a lot. I really did try to do a search but this string never came up? I did find a string that had a great link to Shinn Wheel maintenance and brake lining replacement! In the process of overhauling a new (old) set of wheels complete with new races and linings. As soon as I have them back together I will also be installing a set of NOS wheel pants I obtained last year. Will post pictures after they're on.

          Greg,

Here is the Taylorcraft UK page: http://www.taylorcraft.org.uk/

Go to Rob's G-BREY restoration along the left side and you will find a wealth of information and pictures.
          Cheers,
          Marty
